About April Cottage
Tucked away just a short stroll from Porthleven’s harbour, cafés, restaurants and beach, April Cottage offers the perfect base for a Cornish getaway. From here, you can wander down to the water’s edge, enjoy a coastal walk along the cliff path, or simply relax in your own peaceful retreat.
Inside, this traditional Cornish cottage blends comfort with charm. On the ground floor, a welcoming hallway leads to a cosy lounge tastefully furnished and featuring a modern gas fire, Freeview flat-screen TV, and large patio doors opening onto an enclosed private courtyard — ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks.
The spacious kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need, including a Heritage Range, electric hob and oven, microwave, integrated dishwasher and fridge. The dining area has a country style table and chairs for evenings spent enjoying a family meal. The adjoining utility room houses the washing machine and freezer, and there’s also a convenient downstairs WC.
Upstairs, the bright and airy master bedroom enjoys dual-aspect views towards the harbour and has its own ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has twin beds and a built-in wardrobe, while two further single bedrooms offer comfortable accommodation for families or groups. The family bathroom features both a bath with shower attachment and a separate walk-in shower, plus a WC and hand basin.

Such a lovely cottage with everything you possibly need. Everything is so clean and comfortable. Lovely court yard to sit/ hang washing or chill. Roz (the owner) is on hand if you need her and provides those little extra touches. Will definitely return as Porthleven holidays are so easy to book with and so helpful if required. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. April Cottage was lovely; very clean, warm, spacious and well equipped, and Roz gave us a wonderful complimentary cream tea. Although not having sea views it was very close to all the shops and the harbour, and the garden and parking were a big bonus. We would definitely choose it again. Also we were very pleased with the service from yourselves thank you.
This was our 3rd time in Porthleven and our 2nd time booking with you. I love booking with you because it’s always a seamless process and the properties are always really well equipped, clean and beautifully decorated. All the artwork, ornaments, quirky lighting and comfy throws really make it a home from home and the extra groceries are a wonderful extra touch.

Wonderful cottage with everything you could think of to hand. Such a lovely location with easy access to the town. Owners were very thoughtful with a lovely commentary afternoon tea. April Cottage has everything you could need for a fantastic holiday. The attention to detail is amazing, beautiful flowers in the rooms, spotlessly clean. Can definitely recommend it.

April Cottage was superb .. spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, with lots of thought going into its presentation and it has the added bonus of easy parking. It’s close proximity to the harbour and all amenities meant my parents who holidayed with us , could get around and enjoy all Porthleven has to offer. April Cottage is the best self-catering holiday property we have stayed in (and we take 2/3 holidays a year) and this is our 2nd time in April Cottage. We liked the layout, its proximity to many amenities and especially the off road parking - a premium in Porthleven. The cottage itself is very comfortable, bright and very clean and we appreciated the little extras. Thank you, we will be back......
Lovely cottage with a great location. The staff at Porthleven Holiday Cottages were very helpful as were the owners of April cottage who both accommodated our requests for which we were most grateful. Porthleven is a lovely village even when the weather is poor, lots of great places to eat and everyone are so friendly.
The cottage was delightful, very clean and cozy with everything we needed; a real home from home. We had some delicious home-made scones with jam and clotted cream courtesy of Rozzie. We had a wide range of ages from a 4 month old baby and there were 6 of us staying in the cottage but there was plenty of room. The location is ideal for walking into the village and pottering around Porthleven and the beautiful coastline nearby.
