Captains Cottage

Captain’s Cottage sits in an enviable location overlooking Porthleven harbour. With just a few minutes walk to the beach and harbour, the location provides visitors with easy access to all that Porthleven has to offer. The stylish furnishings have a coastal cottage theme giving a homely and peaceful feel.

As you enter the hallway to Captain’s Cottage you will find stairs to the first floor, a double bedroom with king bed and TV and a twin room with TV. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower and heated towel rail.

Upstairs is a wonderful, airy, open plan space perfectly designed for cooking, dining and relaxing. From the living-room area, the traditional sash windows offer lovely views over the harbour, out to sea and to the fields beyond. There are comfortable, handmade leather sofas, TV, DVD player and CD/iPod dock/radio with Bluetooth. Vaulted ceilings and oak flooring add to the cottage’s charm. The fully equipped and well planned out kitchen has granite work surfaces and integrated appliances. The island breakfast bar has two stools and there is a dining table with four chairs.

There is a small desk and chair, perfect for working from home.

The terrace at the front of the cottage is purposefully designed to take full advantage of the stunning views and is perfect for catching the last rays of sun in the evening. It is a wonderful space for enjoying your favourite drink and watching the world go by.

From the dining area upstairs, French-doors lead outside to an enclosed terrace to the rear of the property, which catches the morning sun. There is a table and chairs for your to enjoy your breakfast before heading out and about. Steps lead up to an elevated gravel garden with coastal planting which maximises the far reaching views. Here there are two sun loungers, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine or at the end of the day. Another table and chairs are perfectly placed for alfresco dining or enjoying your favourite drink.
