Customs House Loft

Originally built in 1840 as the accounts house for the harbour master – the initials of William Edgecumbe Cudlipp are still proudly displayed above the door – this beautiful building is now home to a light-filled holiday retreat, lovingly cared for by owners Louise and John.

Step inside to find fully equipped kitchen, for easy holiday living with everything you could need for eating in, complete with oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/drier.

Step down from the kitchen to into the large, open-plan living space where you can relax in style. The huge leather corner sofa is perfect for curling up after a day exploring the Cornish coast, and the cosy wood burner is ready for cooler evenings or days when you stay indoors during stormy weather. The dining area looks right out over the harbour for breakfast with a view. There are two arm chairs perfectly positioned to make the ideal spot for an evening glass of wine as the boats bob in the water.

There are two beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms (one king, one twin) making Customs House Loft the perfect place for families or friends to enjoy a relaxing Cornish escape. It is also popular with couples enjoying a romantic escape.

Best of all, everything you love about Porthleven is right on your doorstep – with its prime harbour front location Customs House Lofe is close to fabulous restaurants, cosy cafés, independent shops, and the beach just around the corner.

To note

• Parking is available on the quayside or use the permit provided to park in the Porthleven Shipyard.
• The property is all on one level with a few steps down to the living room and a few steps up to the bedrooms.
