About Mackerel Loft
This light flooded second floor apartment is perfect for a romantic getaway with lovely views over the harbour. With the harbour literally on the doorstep, it is just a few steps from popular restaurants, café’s and pubs around the village. Activities like cold water swimming, walking the South West Coast path or stand up paddleboarding are all available to enjoy in the harbour.
The hallway leads to an open plan kitchen, dining and living area with vaulted ceilings, roof windows and picture windows overlooking the harbour. A contemporary designed kitchen, with granite worktops and fully integrated appliances offers a lovely space in which to make a meal. Appliances include electric oven and hob, fridge, separate freezer, washer/dryer and slim line dishwasher. Oak floor boards run throughout the apartment with under floor heating.
The bedroom has a king bed, side tables and built in cupboard. Next to the bedroom is a bathroom with white suite, shower over the bath, heated towel rail, ceramic flooring and built in cupboards with mirrors.
At the entrance to the apartment there is a bijoux terrace suitable for 2 people to sit with a drink or enjoy dinner alfresco. The property is close to all the village amenities, beach, coastal walks and just one minute walk to The Ship Inn.

We were so looking forward to staying at the Mackerel Loft. On the website it looked so good but when we arrived it actually exceeded our expectations. The location is brilliant, the accommodation was spacious, nicely decorated, well equipped, very comfortable and a delight to stay in. We were so blown away with it that we booked for next year the day after we arrived.
Another great break, booked last minute, in our home from home. It was our first stay in Mackerel Loft, which was bigger than we expected, but still cosy, as well as being well equipped and in the heart of Porthleven, we will definitely stay again in this property. See you at the end of May!
Our second stay using Mounts Bay Holidays. Both times we have been very impressed with the high standard of accommodation and the very helpful service. The position of Mackerel Loft with the window looking right over the inner harbour is brilliant. The designated parking right outside was a huge plus and the very short walk to shops and restuarants meant we rarely used the car within Porthleven. Plotting our return already!
