Thoughtfully designed by the owners of Gulls Way and Trigg Cottage, Westward combines luxury coastal style with relaxed comfort. From its light-filled living spaces to the sea-facing garden, every detail has been created for memorable seaside holidays.
Outside, enjoy alfresco dining with spectacular ocean views, spot seals on the rocks below, or watch dolphins gliding through the bay — an unforgettable Cornish experience.
The open-plan living and dining area is a calm and inviting space, decorated in soft coastal tones of blue and white. Large windows frame the mesmerising sea views, while the wood-burning stove adds warmth and charm for cosy evenings in.
The modern kitchen is fully equipped for those who love to cook, featuring ample storage and quality appliances. The dining area, with upholstered bench seating and a large family table, is ideal for relaxed meals together.
Patio doors lead directly to the enclosed terrace and garden, a safe haven for children and dogs, complete with outdoor seating for sunny breakfasts or evening drinks. A timber staircase connects to the lawn below. There is private parking for one car at the front of the property.
Tucked away on the ground floor is a charming bunk bedroom with full-size built-in bunk beds, as well as a stylish shower room — perfect for children or friends.
Upstairs, the master suite features a super-king bed with a luxury mattress, handmade furniture, and floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing sweeping sea views. The ensuite bathroom includes both a bath and shower, and doors open onto a small balcony — an ideal spot to take in the fresh sea air.
The second upstairs bedroom offers a king-size bed, an adjacent shower room, and double doors leading to the balcony — the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee while watching the waves.
With its stunning location on the South West Coast Path, easy access to Porthleven Beach, and luxurious yet homely design, Westward is an unforgettable base for exploring Cornwall. We had a wonderfully relaxing and comfortable stay at Westward. The house is beautifully set up for cooking, eating, sitting and watching the ever changing sea and generally enjoying oneself. The beds were very comfortable and to have the sound of the waves lulling you to sleep was magical.
We had an absolutely wonderful three weeks in Westward. The cottage was well-equipped with comfortable, spacious beds, a fantastic sea view, and a practical garden for the dog in wonderful surroundings. It was perfect for dog walks along the Coastpath, right from the cottage. The parking pass for the Ship Yard was very handy. It's a great base for exploring beautiful Cornwall (Lizard Point, Gunwalloe, Kynance Cove, Landsend, etc.). Contact with the agency was straightforward and reliable, and the weekly linen change was also great.
This is our fourth visit to Westward. A stunning location and a lovely home, always very clean on arrival. We love it here.
Westward is a wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. We have been coming to Porthleven for eleven years - this is our forth year at Westward, I think that says it all. See you in 2026!

Fantastic stay at Westward with the family and dog for a week. The house itself was immaculately clean and had everything we would need for our stay. The location on the edge of Porthleven was perfect, 2 minutes from the costal path to Loe Bar and a 10-minute walk into the harbour. Would definitely recommend and return again.
The customer service we received from Mounts Bay Holidays was the best we’ve had when booking accommodation in this country, and the thought which had gone into making the house welcoming was obvious. Providing washing up liquid, dish brushes and cloths, hairdryers etc made it all much easier. And the customer service team and really helpful and friendly every time I’ve called them.
It was absolutely amazing… can’t wait to stay at Westward again - best cottage so far. Location is out of this world.
What an amazing week! Truly relaxing and everything we had hoped for. Only one sunny day but lots of excuses to light eh fire and dunker down with a good book!
The house was superb - clean, very comfortable and a pleasure to come back to each day. We had fab days on the beachd and spent a great afternoon jewellery making in Porthleven. Great meals out at The Harbour Inn and the Square. Love Porthleven!

A magical place with fabulous views that keep on changing. The accommodation is 5* and made our stay very special. Our first stay in Porthleven and we will be back. We don't want to leave!
